Have you ever wished you could impact not only the success of Star Citizen, but it’s in-game content as well? Then Orison has something amazing in store for you!

With a Community-driven game like Star Citizen, it is no surprise that many, many Backers wish to contribute in some way, shape, or form to the project. From custom ships to CryEngine videos to helpful tutorials on a matter of subjects to twitch streams to fan fiction to weekly news recaps, there is no end to both the creativity and the contributions of Star Citizens all over the world. Even though I was lucky enough to be able to contribute through Imagine – and on a less official level, the Fighter Pilot and the Smuggler Career videos – I have also been rejected twice by David Ladyman concerning my writing ability (he was very gracious, understanding, and kind in how he carried out my declination!).

While rejection is necessary for self-improvement, it can also be disheartening, and I know many people have backed down or given up in light of such events.

Which is something that Orison sought to overcome!

By getting in contact with Ben Lesnick and gaining the permission of Cloud Imperium Games, Orison was able to set up a Community Lore-Builder series of forum threads dedicated to helping Backers contribute directly to the world of Star Citizen. By following Orison’s guidelines and posting in these threads, suggestions, bits of lore, complete scenarios provided by Backers can wind up being implemented in-game. The first of these Community Lore-Builders that Orison directed is on the subject of wreckage scenarios for the Persistent Universe wreckage-spawning system, and it has proven to be highly successful with over 90 submitted scenario entries. The second one was launched just today, and it concerns NPC distress call scenarios also for the Persistent Universe’s systems.

If you’ve always wanted to contribute directly to the Best Damn Space Sim Ever (BDSSE), then you should definitely head over to Orison’s thread and create a few awesome scenarios! This is an amazing project that Orison is heading, and I feel it reflects incredibly well on his dedication and eagerness in assisting not only the Community, but the direct future of the game itself.
